Objective:

With an inventory of over one million products, Franmara realized the best way to market their products was through an online ecommerce portal.

Background:

Established in 1970, Franmara is a leading manufacturer and master distributor of corkscrews, barware and wine accessories. The company sells exclusively to wholesale distributors.  Franmara was intrigued by the possibilities of an e-commerce store that enhanced their brand presence and was also simple to use.

Strategy:

Baytech suggested a seamless four-level pricing model for different kinds of wholesale resellers. This would allow Franmara to appeal to the widest range of vendors. However, users would not know or even feel any difference within the website's architecture.  In addition, we suggested that Franmara integrate its website's ordering system with its backend processing and shipping system, thus streamlining the entire business cycle.

Solution:

Baytech provided an end-to-end solution that took care of Franmara's brand vision of consistency and elegance. That solution included a robust e-commerce interface with a shopping cart, simple purchasing module, and UPS shipping integration. We also worked with Franmara to transfer its visually appealing merchandise descriptions and images to a new server with no loss of data.

Results:

Franmara's site met all objectives of branding design and robust e-commerce functionality within the schedule and budget scope. Users of the website enjoy browsing the site as indicated by a lower bounce rate and increased conversions.
